Successful strategies for the company

GEMELS, who has always been sensitive to environmental safeguards, over the past few years has strengthened its model of company culture, planning new ESG goals and sharing those of the European Green Deal.

Among the projects promoted by Gcms, Gemels Category Management Sostenible team, there are at least two days per year when the employees devote time to the cleaning of local trails, woods and parks, an activity introduced to raise awareness about environmental sustainability issues in a long-term perspective:
“On the one hand, we want to contribute to teach employees and their families the respect of nature”, the company explains, “on the other one, we want to be a virtuous example for other companies”.

Among the other initiatives, we can find the introduction of a plastic-free behavior, the construction of a green area in the company, the fruit trees planting to provide for the CO2 produced, the development of a sustainable supply chain, the efficiency of the company’s production Life Cycle Thinking.

For years our R&D team has focused its work on the study and design of green electrical and eco-sustainable products, with high technological content. We identify with the concept of combining environment and economic development. We identify with the concept of making environment and economic development coexist”
