Female stories of success and talent

Our commitment to be a leading reality

Even in 2022, it isn’t so unusual to hear about women paid less than men, about male-oriented jobs, about gender diversity.
Bla bla bla. But there are different realities: this is the case of Gemels, a company working in the industrial, hydraulic and Oil&Gas sectors, where female figures hold important and leadership positions, roles generally assigned to men.

“This is how things have been standing for many years, there’s not a gender pay gap, quite the opposite in fact” explains the company. “We work hard to be a company that is state-of-the-art, we make the most of talented women and promote innovative welfare projects. We have a lot of female success stories!”.

And, just like all success stories, perhaps another one is bearing: a couple of weeks ago the company received a request from the Politecnico di Milano, with which it has an active collaboration on several sides, for an internship for a mechanical engineer.

“Coincidentally, it’s a woman. It was she herself who showed us that the trend in the Engineering Faculty is 10 girls out of 100 students. What a strange coincidence, for a company like ours where we already have three women in the technical department, mothers of young children. Another opportunity to show our female mission. Gemels always starts from those who, with humility and courage, put themselves out there and show a desire to grow. Such as in our reverse organizational chart, our people are at the top and written in capital letters, while the board appears at the bottom in small ones. We invest a lot in young people and training, so it’s with a great enthusiasm that we give this young girl space, a future engineer at PoliMi. She’ll work with the technical department on green power projects, a first experience to be introduced in the world of work in a few years. Welcome among us, Elisa Bonetti”.
